When you see cabinets and racks, ordinary people pay more attention to the servers, routers, and other high-end equipment placed inside. But in the eyes of professional buyers, the selection of cabinet power outlets is a big deal.
Cabinet dedicated power outlet, usually called PDU, is the English "Power Distribution Unit" abbreviation, there is also a saying "DESIGNATED POWER DISTRIBUTION UNIT FOR CABINET" abbreviation. PDU due to the high degree of professional design, material selection standard requirements and other factors, its total PDU due to the high degree of professional design, material selection standard requirements and other factors, its total current-carrying capacity is much larger.
First of all, you should first calculate what equipment is placed in their cabinets (or what equipment may be used), and calculate how many jacks are needed. How many jacks are needed? What plugs are used for the equipment? (What plug with what socket, GB2099.3 universal socket can be used IEC60906 American Standard plug and GB1002/10A three flat plugs and BS1363 British Standard plug, although GB2099.3 compatibility is good, in the work of high-current, it is best to use a professional supporting socket good), only calculated accurately to avoid waste and not enough.
Secondly, then consider what you want to PDU with control and protection features (such as overload protector, anti-surge protection filtering function, etc.), I hope how to install it in the cabinet (usually standard 19-inch and vertical extension PDU, etc.), take up much space and installation methods.
Again, through the overall equipment in the cabinet rated operating state statistics, calculate the PDU should be able to carry the power of the appropriate value (usually can be estimated, according to the rated operating current of each server 2A calculations, this method is inaccurate, please be careful), and then select the appropriate configuration of the PDU (the current PDU can be done to a maximum of 64A / 16KW).
There are several forms of PDU input
Generally, there are 3 kinds.
1. Single-line input
2. Double-line input
3.IEC320 input
How many kinds of PDU output?
Universal jack
National standard jack
British standard jack
German standard (European) jacks
IEC320 American jack
American Standard Jacks
French Standard Jack
South African standard jack
Information output holes, etc.
I. Technical characteristics of cabinet PDU power supply.
1) The product shell can effectively resist RF and electromagnetic wave interference, as well as the solidity after vertical installation.
2) All socket modules and functional modules are made of PC flame retardant materials, which can withstand up to 750 ℃, have thermal deformation temperatures of up to 120 ℃ or more, and flame retardant properties in line with UL94-V0 standards, used in cabinets to effectively avoid fire accidents due to the socket lead.
3) All the socket sleeve components are made of phosphor bronze material with good elasticity, abrasion resistance, anti-magnetism and corrosion resistance, fine machining, overall stamping and molding, highly reliable contact, and the single-pole unplugging and plugging life test are above 5000 times, safe and durable without loosening and flaming phenomenon, ensuring the output of high-reliability electrical conductivity and connectivity.
4) The connection between internal socket modules and various function modules adopts a special terminal connection method.
5) The input cable material is fully compliant with the flame retardant, does not burn when exposed to fire, and meets the certification standards of many countries.
6)Designed and produced in accordance with the structural requirements of international 482.6mm (19-inch) standard cabinets, it is especially suitable for the installation and use of various types of 482.6mm (19-inch) standard cabinets and other technical requirements.
Installation
1) When installing, there is no need to make any changes to the cabinet and add any accessories, just align the product with the corresponding holes of the cabinet frame, and tighten the screws and nuts with a screwdriver to set it firmly in place.
Use guide
1) Please untie the power cord when using it, so as not to generate an inductive charge resulting in abnormal heating of the power cord;
2) Don't put it in a damp place;
3) Do not put it in a place where children can touch it;
4) Plugs should be inserted into the sockets when in use and should not be exposed;
5) The total power of using each electrical appliance should not exceed the rated power;
6) Do not dismantle the base without permission, if necessary, please contact a professional or the company.
