What is the difference between PDU sockets for cabinets and PDUs and ordinary power sockets?

Date:2012-05-23
First of all, the cabinet special socket is usually called PDU. PDU is usually a modular structure, to ensure the power supply of communication and other important equipment in the cabinet, to avoid damage to the equipment because of high voltage or lightning induction. Although PDU is a small device, a variety of equipment is the longest working time of the device, as long as there is equipment work, PDU will work. If the quality of the PDU is not good, it may cause power failure or even fire. So choosing a high-quality and high-performance power distribution unit for the network cabinet can ensure the working safety of the system.
What are the advantages of PDU over ordinary power sockets? The following are the advantages of PDU which ordinary sockets do not have:
1, lightning, surge protection: maximum withstand impact current: 20KA or higher; limit voltage: ≤ 500V or lower.
2, alarm protection: LED digital current display and the whole current monitoring with alarm function.
3、Filtering protection: with fine filtering protection, output ultra-stable and pure power supply.
4, overload protection: Providing two poles of overload protection, can effectively prevent the problems caused by overload.
5、Anti-misoperation: PDU main control switch ON/OFF with protection grid can prevent accidental shutdown while providing an optional dual circuit.
6, modular design, with international standard jacks, British standard jacks, German standard jacks, American standard jacks, and so on different modules can be freely replaced to meet the different needs of multinational customers.
